Why vote for me for Brookline Housing Authority?

The Board of Commissioners is the highest decision-making body for our town’s public housing complexes. Its decisions have a great impact on the lives of our public housing residents, including myself. In order to meet the needs of the BHA’s residents in the most effective way possible, the BHA Commissioners should include more BHA residents like me.

For those who don't know me:

I have lived and raised my children in BHA since 2012, and sent my children to the Public Schools of Brookline. I am a practicing Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) and an administrator for the Roxbury Division of the Boston Municipal Court.

Additionally, I have confronted homelessness firsthand; I know what it means to stretch a paycheck and visit food pantries; and as a Black woman I have dealt with systemic racial and sexist discrimination.

My professional experiences ensure that I will bring ample experience and qualifications to the Housing Authority Board.

But it is my life experience that has given me the ability to truly understand the human impact of the policy decisions the board makes.

My commitment to public service:

Thank you for your consideration.
